About Us

(ISC)² North Bay Chapter is an affiliate organization of (ISC)2 based in Novato/Santa Rosa, California and serves to promote the awareness of Information Security throughout the North Bay, Marin and Sonoma Counties. Our mission is to promote diversity and inclusion in the field of Information Security, and to leverage the thought leadership of information security community to remove career barriers for women and minorities in cybersecurity by providing mentorship and coaching programs.

Our chapter program provides members a forum to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas, opportunities for leadership and professional skills, and a voice for the advancement of information systems security. Our members enjoy benefits including discounts on events, merchandise and services, networking, educational and mentoring opportunities and voting privileges. Additionally, members have access to privileged information regarding employment, research, institutional knowledge of information security, chapter information and much more…

Membership

Our members consist of individuals interested in the information security field and be either an (ISC)2 members and un-credentialed members. Our chapter program is focused on sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas among cybersecurity professionals in the local area.

We are asking for a $50 annual donation for membership. Since we are a non-profit your donation is tax deductible and we use the donations to hire quality speakers, on chapter expenses and for 1-2 in-person meeting a year for rental space, food, and drinks. Meetings

President


Victor Ramensky - ISO Bank of Marin - IT & Security Professional with over 35+ years in IT Management. Computer technologies areas such as Cybersecurity, BI, IT management, software programming, office suites, internet/intranet, communications, networking, databases, business software, and general data analysis, and holds CISSP, CSM, and ITIL certifications.

Treasurer


Christopher L. Jones - Chris is an experienced Information Security Professional with over 23 years’ experience leading initiatives in InfoSec and Risk Management. He holds a master’s degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of San Francisco as well as six leading information security certifications including CISSP, CISA, GSTRT, GCTI, GCIA and GCED. Mr. Jones has worked in many industries including healthcare, engineering consulting, software development, manufacturing, and financial services.

Secretary and Chapter VP

Robert Lee - Robert S Lee has been working in the Information Technology industry for the past 15+ years in the public and private sector in such roles as Information Security Officer, Information Systems Manager, Infosec Compliance, and Project Management.

Robert holds numerous certifications including the CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CDPSE as well as a Masters in Information Security. Robert is currently a privacy and information security officer in the financial services industry.


Training and Projects Chair

Amy Wood - Amy is a best selling Author, Speaker, Consultant, and Coach. She has a background in Healthcare Information Technology and has spent the last decade as a HIPAA Educator, Risk Assessor, and Data Breach Consultant. Amy’s clients range from small practices to large organizations and all have benefited from her white-glove approach to security. She could work for the Department of Defense or any hospital in the country but chooses to work in Dental because it is an underserved market that needs help. Amy loves bringing knowledge and expertise to those looking to improve themselves and their business.
